Community Online addresses learning barriers by providing community based, easily accessible and easy to understand courses and activities. We also use our resources and an integral support system to build people’s motivation and confidence. Our learners, whatever their age or background, are at the heart of what we do.
We know there’s a lot of fear out there when it comes to people getting new skills or changing their habits through digital technology. Some still don’t trust online banking or even shopping. So we focus on creating a welcoming, open learning environment where they can feel at ease and capable of achieving their goals.

Who we help:
Socially disadvantaged people, such as older people, the unemployed, people from ethnic minorities, migrants, and those with disabilities.
Overall, studies show that people who don’t use digital platforms and technology are increasingly older, less educated, more likely to be unemployed, disabled, and socially isolated. Therefore, we aim to reach these disadvantaged groups because they are more likely to have a skills shortage and a greater need to feel part of the community.
